How To Create And Sell eBooks Through Joint Ventures!
By admin | June 1, 2008
This article came out of a preview call with Gina Gaudio-Graves for the Virtual eBook Expo 2
If you don’t have a product and you decide you want to create an ebook to sell but you’re not up for sitting down and writing it yourself then you could do an ebook-creation joint venture.
This is one of the quickest ways to get one. Identify those experts in your niche who can easily talk about things you want to talk about in your ebook. Pick up the phone and interview them. But make sure they also have promotional power so that they can help you with the other 3 types of joint ventures.
The second type of joint venture is a list-building jv. There are many ways to use list building jv’s. Joint venture give aways are a great way to build a list. This is where a big group of marketers get together and each gives away a product to all the subscribers. And each agrees to promote the jv site. And all those involved have the opportunity to grow their lists and you can build lists very quickly and very big ones with this strategy.
I started making money as soon as I did one of these and went from a list of 200 to 1600. Gina knew of people who grew their lists from zero to 9,000 in 30 days so this really works! But sometimes those involved want you to already have a list. But if you use your blog instead of a list it’s a way to get around not having a list and being allowed to participate.
With Traffic-Generation jv’s the objective is not sales and not list building. One of Gina’s favorite ways to do this is to use a blog. Ex: A student: has a gambling blog. He gets a series of experts who agree to contribute articles to that blog. When they write an article for his blog he pings it, social book marks the posts and other things that drive traffice to that post.
The guests also promote the gambling blog on their blogs and they drive traffice to the blog. Also, each person talks about one of their own products when they contribute an article to the gambling site. This then allows everyone to sell more of all of their products and it becomes more of a strategic alliance instead of just a jv.
And the fourth typr of jv is the product-launch joint venture which is the most common. Someone creates an ebook or product. Then they go out and get a bunch of partners and they decide on a time frame during which they will promote the ebook or product. But now there are hundreds and hundreds of product launches every month so it’s getting harder and harder to get jv partners to promote. And getting them to follow through on a commitment to promote will give you grey hair! The only way around it is by using jv’s in a strategic way so you don’t have to worry about whether they are going to want to promote, they are going to promote!
By creating an ebook and joint venturing with others you can start selling your ebook very quickly, buildint credibility and expert status, building your list, and creating a stream of income that you can expand into your own information empire!

Build Quality Membership Sites FAST With eBooks!
By admin | May 26, 2008
You can use your ebooks-especially a “how-to” ebook- to create a lot of content in your membership. Because you can take the chapters, which are often 5-10 steps on how to do whatever your topic is and you can use them to create other more valuable products. Now you’ve got something that people will pay you for on a regular basis. So if you have 10 chapters you can have 10 courses in your membership site area.
Simply by adding an audio or doing an interview on the subject of your ebook, you can increase the value of your ebook tenfold! An ebook that sells for $20 bucks now could get you $20 a month or $100 a year!
Then you can build a community of people. And when you make recommendations people will buy those as well because you have built the relationship. So from one ebook you can create a lot of value that puts money in your pockets every single month!
At the same time you can create a heart to heart connection with people you enjoy who enjoy you. So ebooks are a very powerful tool to build a great membership site!

7 Tips for A Million-Dollar Bio For Your eBook!
By admin | May 23, 2008
When you write an ebook you want to have a million-dollar bio because it can be worth hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars in business revenue-that why we call it a million-dollar bio!
So here are some tips from Martin Wales’ talk in his Virtual eBook Expo2 preview call.
1. Have different bios for different purposes. One size does not fit all.
2. Write your bio differently for each ebook based on each subniche.
3. A bio should be well-written for the search engines.
4. It should always be written in the third person, like someone is talking about you-not you talking about yourself.
5. Make sure it is powerful and succinct no matter the length.
6. Diversify so you have different accomplishments to choose from when writing your bio.
7. Change the title in your bio depending on the opportunities offered by each ebook.

How To Find Your Million-Dollar eBook Business Idea!
By admin | May 14, 2008
Many people don’t know how to find a successful topic. All they know is that they want to write an ebook. And, they don’t believe that they are an expert at anything. Plus they can’t imagine why someone would buy what they have to offer. But think about this….have you ever done something and thought to yourself, “I can do this better?” If you have, you may be on to a million-dollar idea!
When I got started, I didn’t plan to become The eBook Coach. I just wanted to write an ebook too! But I wasn’t satisfied with the process that I found and I thought, “I can do this better”. So I created my Quick-Start 3-Day eBook Authoring Workshop. And believe me, the first time I gave it, it wasn’t great. It took time and work. I had to nurture it until it worked the way I wanted it to.
Now I’m not telling you this to brag, I’m telling you this because I see so many people who have ideas-good ideas-but because they are not fully-formed right off the bat, they lose faith and don’t pursue them.
So the next time you have an idea where you say to yourself, “I can do this better” allow yourself to at least explore the possibilities. You may just be sitting on a million-dollar idea…and million-dollar business!

New Media In The 21st Century: Increasing eBook Sales
By admin | May 14, 2008
On May 1, 2008, Thursday evening’s preview call for The Virtual eBook Expo2, Jody Colvard shared her thoughts about where technology is going and what it means for ebook sales.
We are in a major shift right now. And people need to adapt by making their content available in as many formats as possible. Now is a great time to write ebooks because they are inexpensive and HOT. Any time you get in early, you’re “creating a space for yourself” before everyone else gets there and you can put yourself in the position to be very successful!
In the early 90’s, it was inexpensive with free sites like Geocities. Then it got really expensive to be on the Internet - for the big businesses a website could cost $100,000. Then it got cheaper again.
People have been able to create ebooks and web businesses inexpensively up til now, but corporations and business are coming online and at some point it will become like infomercials and ordinary people won’t be able to get in.
Right now, ebooks are still a very inexpensive way to get in and make a name for yourself. Now there are a lot of mobile devices - everything is becoming digitized. So ebooks are becoming more and more prevelant in people’s lives because they are looking for that digital content to download and take with them.
And you need to have an audio version so people can listen in their cars and on their Ipods. Looking ahead, cell phones will be huge. You can already see it in other countries. 3rd generation Internet - we don’t have it yet, but we will. And everything will be directed to the cell phone.
If you don’t have content to be able to download on the cell phone you’ll be left in the dust - without a call to action to drive them back to your site.
So there are more opportunities than ever if you get in now for ebook authors - and start to take advantage of the different ways to deliver content.
If you want to learn more about how to deliver your ebooks in the 21st century, register now for the preview calls for the Virtual eBook Expo2.

How To Turn Your eBook Into A 7-Figure Business!
By admin | May 14, 2008
On Thursday evenings preview call for The Virtual eBook Expo2, Adam Urbanski shared how to think about your business to create a 7-figure income. Here’s what he had to say….
The truth is nobody makes a 7-figure income just with an ebook (at least not that we’ve heard of)! And less than 1% ever do it with a book either.
But according to Adam the ebook is a “powerful tool” to build a 7-figure business.
And,Adam knows what he’s talking about. He’s created two multi-million dollar businesses. Starting out with just $197 in his pockets and very little grasp of the English language as an immigrant, he made his first multi-million deal in 10 years and his second one in just 6!
Adam’s key to success is in your mindset- how you think about your business. Once you learn the mindset then you can design your ebooks to support your 7-figure plan!
